When outfitting luxury villas, boutique hotel suites, or executive offices, two formats dominate the premium segment: the classic ergonomic armchair and the extended chaise lounge. Each serves distinct purposes and requires different engineering considerations.
Look for models with backrest angles between 105 and 110 degrees—the scientifically validated range for lumbar support. Armrest height should position the user's elbows at 90-degree angles. For luxury specifications, consider high-resilience foam (density 2.8 lbs/cu ft or higher) wrapped in a feather-down blend.
A proper chaise should accommodate users up to six feet four inches without leaving calves unsupported. Look for frames with reinforced corner blocks, as the cantilevered design places unusual stress on the front section.
Armchairs in dining or desk applications benefit from performance velvets or crypton fabrics that resist staining. Chaises intended for poolside use require solution-dyed acrylics with UV stabilizers—tested for 1,000 hours of sunlight exposure.
Asian market armchairs typically require shallower seat depths (20-21 inches versus the Western standard of 23-24 inches). We offer dimension adjustments at the frame level. Request our hospitality seating lookbook to explore available configurations.
